Substance Abuse Treatment

Intensive outpatient services (IOP) are available to adults at various times throughout the day. In addition, specialty services are offered to, women who are pregnant or have dependent children, and those with a co-occurring disorder (those who have both a mental illness and a co-occurring substance abuse disorder). The New Life Program is provided for inmates at the Montgomery County Detention Facility where group conseling is conducted for those with a substance abuse/dependency diagnosis.

Housing for Homeless Persons

The Lighthouse currently operates 49 units of permanent housing for homeless persons through scattered site apartments. These programs provide specialty treatment and placement for homeless persons with a substance abuse or mental illness diagnosis and who are HIV positive; for homeless women with a substance abuse or mental illness diagnosis who are pregnant and/or have dependent children; and for homeless persons with a co-occurring disorder.

Prevention of Substance Abuse, HIV/AIDS and Child Abuse and Neglect

The Lighthouse currently provides a variety of substance abuse prevention programs to at-risk youth and adults throughout our community on the issues of substance abuse and the prevention of addiction, HIV/AIDS and child abuse and neglect prevention.

Standing Together Against Rape

The Lighthouse provides the only specialized rape crisis treatment and prevention program in the six county radius that it serves. The Standing Together Against Rape program (STAR) provides forensic medical exams within 72 hours following a sexual assault; individual, group and family counseling for survivors; and prevention and education regarding sexual assault issues in our community.
