Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention
Through funding from the Department of Child of Abuse and Neglect/Children’s Trust Fund, we provide non-school based prevention programs to youth in grades K-6th on the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Children are provided evidence based programs such as the Committee for Children’s Second Step Talking About Touching curriculum and Second Step’s Student Success Through Prevention programs. Through cooperative learning, role play and interactive lessons, children are provided essential life skills such as good touch/bad touch, conflict resolution, refusal skills, and character building exercises.
